This is my fave pattern. It is classified as "Easy" so I am hoping that it will be a nice easy project for anyone to make. It is a classic design with a lot of stitches and it is not overly heavy. It is a very good pattern to make the string of fabric.

I used a 12x12x1.5 inch piece of Kato's Bat from his crochet book. Make sure your bat is wide enough to fit under the arm of your crochet hook. It should be able to fit in the palm of your hand. It is not so wide that it will pull out of your hand. I cut it in half. I used a sewing needle to sew it together. I sewed the hook at the bottom of the bat. I used a needle and thread to secure the hook in place.
