Cardigan No. 6 Free Knitting Pattern is a classic shrug style cardigan, worked in one piece from the top down. The construction is unusual in that the sleeves are knit separately and then joined with the body before the yoke is worked.

This is a very elegant and classic cardigan, which is knitted seamlessly from the top down. The body and sleeve stitches are picked up from the edges of the fronts and the back and joined to work in the round to the armholes. Then the sleeves are knitted down from the armholes. Finally the collar is picked up and worked.
