Shawl / Tuch POTZBLITZ Free Knitting Pattern

This shawl is a fantasy piece that has a lot of fun colors and a nice texture. The name "Potzblitz" is a German word for a short, sharp thunderclap.

Muskoka Shawl Free Knitting Pattern

This shawl is based on a traditional triangular shawl design, but with some modern updates. It is worked from the bottom up, starting with a garter stitch tab. You then start working the body of the shawl. This part is done using stockinette stitch with a simple lace pattern that is worked on every other row. It uses a yarn over increase and a yarn over decrease, both of which are done on the wrong side. This gives the shawl a nice texture and a beautiful drape. The shawl is finished with a garter stitch border.
